Dear Families,
We are writing to you to provide an update on our response to the coronavirus situation for today.
We continue to receive communications and the latest updates from Bahrain Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. See the MOH site HERE for their latest news. In addition, we are well-connected to other private schools on the island and share in open and supportive communication with regard to how schools are taking measures to ensure awareness and prevention around the coronavirus.
This morning members of the leadership team met with our service providers. This included Al Hutaim Transport, Healthy Calorie, Caramel and the school cleaning company. In our efforts to aid the prevention of both the coronavirus virus and other seasonal related illnesses, the following additional measures were today put in place:
We reiterate that the above are in addition to the already high expectations we have around cleaning practices. These include the daily wiping of surfaces of high traffic such as tables, door handles, railings, chairs, light switches etc. We have also increased the frequency of checks on classroom, bathroom and common area supplies of soap, paper towels and sanitizer stations.
While we recognize the concern due to the increase of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bahrain today, we hope that our regular updates to parents will help to reassure that we are in contact with reputable agencies to provide us with factual and helpful information.
RVIS will continue to adhere to the advice of the Ministry of Education (MOE) regarding school closure. If the MOE determines a need for school closure, RVIS will enact Virtual School protocols for students. In the meantime we will continue to keep you updated by regular updates such as this one.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
The RVIS Leadership Team
