Dear RVIS Community,
Virtual School has resumed successfully after Spring Break, and we remain incredibly grateful for the support and positivity of our community ~ thank you! We also wish to recognize the generous support of the government under the direction of HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. We recognize that these are unprecedented times and we commend Bahrain for its forward-thinking efforts to provide support across the Kingdom, including the efforts of the Ministry of Education in providing assistance for families. Â
As a nonprofit school, we at RVIS wish to give back to Bahrain and our community. Today, our Board of Trustees met, and given the support provided by the Government, we are able to offer a 10% fee reduction for the months of April, May and June in the form of credit towards next year’s tuition.   Â
As an alternative, families may choose to contribute their 10% to a special fund that will be used to give back to Bahrain and our community. Our Board of Trustees will hold an Extraordinary Board Meeting on April 20. One of the agenda items will be the use of this fund, which may allow for continued service work such as our Compassion Housing Project and provide further support for families in need. In keeping with our mission, we will also involve students in the discussion as to how best to use these funds to give back to Bahrain. Â
We remain inspired and impressed by our community and all of the wonderful learning that is happening during Virtual School. As we navigate this new territory together, the spirit of solidarity and acts of kindness will get us through this stronger. We hope that you, your family and everyone throughout the world remains safe and healthy as we work together to defeat COVID-19 and emerge stronger than ever.
Kind Regards,
The RVIS Leadership Team
